My name is Rod Brouhard. I am a paramedic, educator, and speaker with a passion for emergency medical services, first aid, and educating the public on medical emergencies.
I also love to write - about everything. I love to convey the beauty and the struggles of the world around us to my readers. I love to spout my opinions and make observations, and hopefully spur others to think differently today than they did yesterday.
I've been lucky. I've had many great opportunities to share my passion and my words with folks willing to share a few minutes of their day. However, I'm always looking for more ways to reach out. I want to hear your story - and write it.
Freelance writers are all pretty similar. We submit our musings to all whom are willing to read them. We try to let our readers see through our eyes and hear through our ears. At the end of the day, maybe we'll even change a mind or brighten a heart.
The thing that sets me apart from other freelancers is my day job. I'm still a paramedic, working full-time on an ambulance and responding to medical emergencies. I write while sitting in the front seat of an ambulance, waiting for the next call. That ongoing real world experience helps me stay grounded, and gives me a unique perspective into the lives of the very people with whom I'm hoping to connect.
